Annual adaptive maritime sports clinic hosted by Hudson River Community Sailing in partnership with VA New York Harbor Healthcare, serving injured veterans from the New York/New Jersey region through sailing, kayaking, and recreation-based rehabilitation.
Eligibility: Open to veterans eligible for VA medical care with a qualifying condition (e.g. orthopedic amputation, TBI, burn injury, mental-health condition, visual impairment, or other injury).
Adaptive Sports Foundation
Windham, NY-based adaptive-sports nonprofit whose Warriors in Motion program serves injured service members with adaptive skiing, cycling, paddling, and wellness instruction, and partners with regional veteran adaptive-sports events including Heroes on the Hudson.
