Maine Paws for Veterans
Provides service dog training and support for Maine veterans living with military-related post-traumatic stress, matching rescued dogs with veterans and progressing through training together. Established as Embrace A Vet in 2012 and re-formed as Maine Paws for Veterans in 2021, it also runs caregiver programs and retreats, and serves veterans across Maine and their caregiver spouses and significant others.
