Statewide 501(c)(3) chapter that provides emotional and financial support to the surviving families and co-workers of Indiana law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, as determined by Federal criteria. At the onset of a line-of-duty death, trained board members provide survivor peer support and grief counseling and assist with funeral planning, Public Safety Officers' Benefits (PSOB), and national and state memorial enrollment. C.O.P.S. also offers financial support, scholarships, survivor retreats, and National Police Week assistance.
