Fly Fishing Veterans
All-volunteer nonprofit founded in 2020 by veterans, first responders, and healthcare professionals that serves veterans, first responders, and healthcare personnel throughout the Umpqua region and surrounding Southern Oregon communities from its base in Roseburg. It mentors participants in fly tying, rod building, casting, fly fishing education, and fishing events as a therapeutic approach to suicide prevention, PTSD, TBI, and other physical and mental injuries, in partnership with the Roseburg VA Hospital, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and healthcare facilities.
